Open singles, doubles competitions set for Dec. 11 at
Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium

CANTON, Ohio–Nov. 11, 2022 – Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (“HOFV” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW) today announces its Gold Summit Gaming division will present its first esports tournament at Hall of Fame Village on Dec. 11, 2022. “Chain Grab Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament” is open for players 13 years and older, featuring Doubles and Singles competitions and a $1,000 pot bonus. ‘Chain Grab,’ a reference to the game’s popular tech involving a series of grabs and throws, that an opponent can’t escape, competition will take place on The Club level and VIP Lounge of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Players of all levels will compete on 30 high-definition monitors with highlighted moments broadcasted live on https://www.twitch.tv/goldsummit_gg and the Stadium’s massive scoreboards

Super Smash Bros. originally released in 1999 and has seen six installments. The newest title, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, released December 2018, selling over 28 million units. With a dedicated community behind the titles, players have gotten very creative in developing a loyal competitive scene. The Chain Grab tournament at Hall of Fame Village is attracting early interest from top gamers throughout the state. "I love competing in Northeast Ohio. Being #1 in the state only makes you a target to the guys here, I'll be fighting for my life every round of bracket," said Stephen Schmidt (aka “DoorStop”), a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Zero Suit Samus player who currently is the top ranked player in all of Ohio.
